Acupuncture for Labor & Delivery

Updated: Feb 14, 2024

Pre-Birth Acupuncture Series

Acupuncture is beneficial for supporting both mother and baby for childbirth. Towards the end of pregnancy, acupuncture can help:

  • Prepare the cervix and pelvic floor to relax and soften for labor

  • Reduce labor times

  • Keep mom calm, grounded, and relaxed

  • Redirect malposition of the baby, if needed

Pre-birth acupuncture is a series of weekly treatments that begin around week 32. These sessions include discussion on ways to reduce labor pains naturally and minimize the need for unwanted medical intervention.
